I know I've been quiet. If I owe you an email or thoughts on a snip you've sent...or an answer to a post, I promise I'll get to you as soon as I can. Yeah, I'm a slacker. And I have no excuse other than I've been on a mental vacation. Oh and the headaches...yes, the headaches have played a big part.
Nothing much to report on the writing front. I've been a very bad girl. 'Nuff said. (g)
I've been reading some. Yeah, I cheated and read about 250 pages of TSFT...now I'm trying to gut my way through Plato's GORGIAS. This book may be partly to blame for my headaches. I get through about 20 pages and have to rest my eyes for a bit. Not to mention recover from the brain-numb I'm experiencing. You know, there IS a reason I never liked literature classes--for the most part. Reading this stuff should be banned. (g) And here I thought 138 pages would be a piece of cake. HEH. Okay, okay...it's Plato... I get that. But heyzeus.
Anyway, I've got a clean and clear evening ahead of me -- I've downed a few Advil. I'm firing up the computer to write. Woohoo.

You have my sympathies.
If you're looking for something fun to do, whip up some jacket copy for one of your YAs and enter moonrat's contest!
And/or keep an eye on Nathan Bransford's blog...apparently, he has amnesia and thinks it would be good for him to run another contest next week. Poor, poor man.
Glad you surfaced, Jen. I was getting worried.
I hope the headaches get better!
Precie,
Oh my...just saw Nathan is doing a first page contest. What to do?? He's seen the opening lines and paragraphs of most of my MS's... seems a bit redundant to slap up a first page when everyone's seen it already and have apparently not loved it. (g) Hmmm. What are you entering?
Jen
Julianne,
Thanks! I owe you an email--but my account has gone all wonky on me. I'll return it asap.
