In Case You Hadn't Heard..

There's a movie coming out tomorrow that's been kept on the complete DL. In fact, I'd be surprised if any of you have even heard about it. Here's a little sneak peek:

Yes...New Moon. Out tomorrow, well...for those of you willing to trudge out at midnight to see it. Umm, I'm willing. (g) I bought my tickets WELL in advance--about two months ago--and will be jockeying with tweens to get the best seat in the house.

I'm preparing myself now for the squealing and sighing...and the overall teen angst. To be honest, the atmosphere is what I'm going for. The movie may or may not be worth it, but listening to 300 girls go all fangirl over Patterson is going to be well worth my ten duckets.

No, I won't be picking a team cuz I can't back either of these boys. I'm all about:

TEAM TY!!

Whoot...now he's worth backing!

I will be sure to report in on all of the Tweens Gone Wild. Let's see if I can get popcorn thrown at me again for giggling inappropriately (i.e. during the "serious" parts). (g) Anyone else trudging out to see it tomorrow night?

Why are you punishing yourself?? :)

Cory and I watched the first one and he told me that I never get to pick a movie EVER again.

Morbid curiosity is a BAD thing.

When I went to see Twilight...I had more fun watching the girls squirm in their seats waiting for the first glimpse of Rob…and amazed at how quiet the movie house was during the kissing scenes. All the while I thought they are crazy in love over a character they have read about in a BOOK. How cool is that?

I think the whole Twilight phenomena is fun and I’m looking forward to seeing New Moon, but probably not until a week or so after its been out.
And though you can criticize Ms Meyer on her literary merit…you can’t deny she’s captured the imaginations of a lot of people…and there is a talent in that. For me, it’s quiet interesting to study.

P.S. Team Jacob!
And Ty is mighty fine too!

Hi Rhonda!

She's definitely tapped into their imaginations - bad writing (and silly plot elements) aside.

And if I had to pick, I'd be Team Jacob too. :)

Tara,

LMAO! Yes, I know. The first movie was pretty bad. But like I said, I'm going more for the tweens than anything else. And fwiw, I've been told many a time that I never get to pick the movie EVER again...and people always cave. (g) Always.

Rhonda,

Yes, the book angle is totally cool. I have a ton of friends who never even thought of picking up a book for fun who have read this series. People who were shocked as all get out that they were doing it. So YAY for reading.

On the other hand, it's a bit of a Catch-22. Because of these dang books, getting anything published in the paranormal world is much, much harder and they're not even that GOOD. LOL. Okay, they're good...sorta literary crack...but definitely not as good of a lot of other paranormal YA's out right now. 'tis Weird.

And girls...NO NO NO NO NO. You're not allowed to be on either team. If you have to choose, you choose TEAM TY! :)

I thought being on Team Ty was just a given. :)

Okay then... that works. (vbg)
