The Funniest Thing I've Heard All Week

My friend Jennifer on reading Stephenie Meyer's TWILIGHT:

"That woman has never met an adjective she didn't like!"

(BTW, she got to the last 20 pages and refused to finish it. In fact, she went and sold it to a used bookstore!! LOL)

  1. Moonrat,

LOL...I tend to become acclimated to whatever book I'm reading. After getting through TWILIGHT, I didn't notice the problem anymore. (g)

  2. TWILIGHT should never be confused with great literature.

    Crack cocaine? Yes.
    Great literature? Not so much.

Haha...that's a great way of putting it. (g)

Amen, sister! That's exactly how I feel about Stephanie.

Is she the next Emily Bronte? No. Is she entertaining and her stories addictive. A big yes.

On a side note, aw, your friend missed the best part of the entire book, Jen. lol

  5. Jenna,

LOL -- I know! She said she got to a scene that went something like this...

    "I love you."

"Yes, but I love you MORE."

"You couldn't possibly love me as much as I love you..."

    etc. etc...

Now, I don't recall that scene, but apparently it tipped the scales towards throwing the book at the wall for her. LOL. But seriously, _20_ pages left... no way. I'd feel the need to finish even the worst book if I only had that much left.
